TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) was established in 1974 to deal with the acute problems of gradual depletion of earth’s finite energy resources and the existing methods of their misuse. TERI developed a tool for measuring and rating a building’s environmental performance in context of India’s varied climate and building practices. The rating system, called ‘Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment’ (GRIHA) quantifies parameters like energy consumption, waste generation, renewable energy adoption over the entire life cycle of the building. This rating system adapted and adopted by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) in 2007 assists organizations to meet the 34 criteria of green rating system set up for green buildings.
Thus the products can be used on any of GRIHA rated projects and the application of approved products on such projects. We feel great pride to announce that Supreme’s INSU range of products have been included in the GRIHA Product Catalogue under the following categories:
GRIHA criteria 14 & 27 and SVAGRIHA criteria 5 for INSUshield, INSUreflector and INSUboard
GRIHA criteria 14 & 27 for INSUflex and INSUshield-tubing
